My parents were Pakistani Immigrants that have lived in Oxford all their lives. I was fortunate to have access to education, opportunities and NHS under the Labour government.

Fellow members, LWN was founded over 30 years ago.

I’m serving my movement, and serving progressive politics.

I am a strong campaigner who has over 15 years Trade Union experience. I am Unite Community Women’s Officer, and Felix Project Volunteer.

-I am standing because; I am passionate about Equality I want to make sure that the voice of women is heard, and acted upon throughout the party and through virtual solidarity in lockdown.

-As a politically active woman I am standing for the LWN management elections.

-I will support the politically active woman to doing vocational training.

-I will support peer to peer networking platforms.

-I will provide informal Women MP Q&A sessions.

-I will lobby for PROGRESS for politically active women into political positions at LOCAL REGIONAL and NATIONAL Levels.

-I will secure Women’s Equality within The Party.

-I will look to transform those unconscious bias in political environments through All Women shortlists and BAME shortlists, to ensure voices are heard.

-Political Education and Political Choices, are no longer to be taken for granted.
